Dental Prosthetics

Restoring dental function and aesthetics

What is Dental Prosthetics?

Dental prosthetics is the dental specialty that deals with restoring dental functionality and aesthetics, offering customized solutions for patients with missing, damaged or aesthetically problematic teeth. Our goal is to restore masticatory comfort, oral health and a harmonious, natural and durable smile.

Modern materials and technologies

In our clinic, we use modern materials and technologies that guarantee precise, aesthetic and time-resistant results:

Our prosthetic services

Dental crowns or bridges

made of zirconium, ceramic or BelleGlass, on natural teeth or implants, for restorations that perfectly mimic the natural appearance of the tooth and offer durability

Total dentures and skeletal dentures

functional and aesthetic solutions for patients who have lost multiple teeth, made for maximum comfort and natural integration in the oral cavity

Bridge on inlays

segmental restorations that restore dental function and ensure excellent stability

Bridge on veneers

innovative solution for correcting aesthetics and reconstructing multiple teeth, while maintaining a natural and harmonious appearance

Dental veneers

indicated for improving the shape, color or alignment of teeth, made with precision for an exceptional aesthetic result

Our approach

Each prosthetic treatment is personalized according to the patient's needs and expectations, combining doctors' experience with state-of-the-art digital technology and premium quality materials. Thus, patients benefit from restorations that not only look natural but are also functional in the long term, contributing to the health of the entire oral cavity.

Investment in health

Through our integrated approach, dental prosthetics becomes more than a restoration solution - it is an investment in the health, comfort and confidence of each patient.

Dental work hygiene

Fixed dental crowns and bridges

mandatory brushing 2 times a day (and optionally after lunch), preceded by rinsing with water. Use of dental floss and interdental brushes/superfloss (under bridge bodies); oral irrigator is used twice a day, in the morning after breakfast and in the evening before dental brushing, carefully so as not to injure the gum. Mouthwash is used after brushing.

Partial or total removable dentures

after each meal the denture is removed and washed with a soft brush and water. Once a week (at least) it is placed in a glass with enough warm water (to completely cover the denture) in which you have dissolved an effervescent tablet for cleaning dentures, for at least 15 minutes (or even overnight); then it is washed with a soft brush and rinsed with water. If tartar buildup on the denture is high, effervescent tablets can be used up to 2 times a day. Remaining teeth are brushed normally.

Warranty of performed treatments

The quality of treatments performed by our clinic is guaranteed. Attention: Dental treatments are interventions on biological support. Therefore, the evolution of the biological support over time cannot be guaranteed. (no one knows for example what the general health status will be in the future).

Warranty exceptions

  • the patient does not have good hygiene
  • the patient does not attend check-ups every 6 months
  • the patient is a smoker in the case of implants, periodontal conditions and veneers
  • the patient consumes unacceptably hard foods (hard candies, caramels, seeds with shells, hard nuts, hard pistachios, etc)
  • the patient has bruxism (teeth grinding) or unilateral chewing (eats on one side only)

Prosthetic works performed in the laboratory (veneers, bridges, dentures) will be replaced free of charge if they have manufacturing defects within the first 6 months of application.

Important observations

  1. Correct and sustained oral hygiene is the most important factor in maintaining oral cavity health and the longevity of prosthetic works.
  2. Patients with bruxism, strong bite, unilateral chewing, harmful habits (such as interposing pencils between arches) have a higher risk of chipping/fracture of prosthetic works, even metal-ceramic ones.
  3. After fixing works on implants, it is recommended not to consume very hard foods on those areas, at least for a few months (the concept of progressive loading).
  4. In case of work debonding (especially on implants), the patient must come to the clinic as soon as possible to avoid affecting the implants or unpleasant events (swallowing the work).
  5. After cementing inlays, onlays on vital teeth, cold sensitivity may persist at the level of those teeth, sensitivity that will disappear within up to 4 weeks. If sensitivity persists or pain appears, it is possible that the tooth nerve is affected and requires root canal treatment.
  6. Patients wearing total dentures may need adhesive creams to maintain dentures on the prosthetic field.
